If you are looking for a car service, there are three main services which you need to be aware of. A full service is where all the basic checks are conducted, any maintenance is performed, and all essential work that is found will be done.

The full service should also include any signs of wear and tear on your vehicle found during the checks. If you manage to clock up 12,000 miles or more within your year, you should book a full service recommended unless indicated differently by the manufacturer. 

A major service should be done every few years or 24,000 miles. This is a thorough check done on your vehicle, including all essential maintenance and any parts that need to be replaced every 24 months.

If you drive your car long distances, you should have an interim service completed every 6 months or every 6,000 miles to ensure no problems occur during the long journeys. 

There are a few common problems that can occur in your vehicle. For example, there could be an issue with your steering wheel, such as it being difficult for you to turn or completely locked on you. Although the problem is obvious, the cause for this might be difficult. One reason could be a leak in your power steering fluids, so you should check that and ensure there is enough in.
